Description

The golf course is located 25 km southeast of Prague in the village of Molitorov, which is part of the small town of Kouřim, known as the oldest town in Bohemia according to historical records. Kouřim is also considered the probable geographic center of Europe. The golf course at Golf Club Molitorov features 18 holes, each with all the attributes that a golf course should have. You'll find a variety of long and short holes on the course, which has a par of 71. The shorter holes are known for their technical challenges, while the longer holes impress with their significant distance from the teeing area to the green. The course is designed with numerous tricky bunkers, bushes, trees, and tall grasses, reminiscent of Scottish courses.

Punitive areas, such as hazards, can be found on holes number 9 and 11. The first nine holes are mainly set in a local cherry orchard, making the game much more challenging compared to the second nine. Precise and long drives are necessary here to have a chance at making par. The second nine holes are situated on a flat plain and are characterized by their length and tricky obstacles in the landing areas for the initial shots. One advantage of this course is that if your drive is off target, in most cases, you will manage to find your ball. The landscape represents typical lowland areas with rows of trees and small wooded areas.

For golf and nature enthusiasts, hole number 8 is particularly captivating. It is the highest point on the Molitorov course, offering a beautiful view of the historic town of Kouřim and the surrounding countryside. For curiosity's sake, the shortest hole on the course, hole number 14, measures 96 meters from the ladies' tees. On the other hand, the longest hole, hole number 13, is a par-five, stretching 530 meters from the championship tees.
