Ypsilon Golf Liberec golf course lies at an altitude of 420 - 470 m above sea level and is located in beautiful nature without the bustle of civilization near the dam reservoir Fojtka near Liberec.
The playground area is located on land with an area of 102 ha, of which 37 ha are the playing areas themselves. The local rugged area allowed the English architect Keith Preston to create 18 specific holes with a total course length exceeding six thousand meters (6102 m - master men's tees) with a par course of 72.
The course has a classic composition of 4 three-pair, 4 five-pair and 10 four-pair holes. Each of the eighteen holes will contribute its own character to the overall unusual experience of playing on this course.
From the 3-pair holes, it is possible to highlight, for example, the "forest hole" (hole no. 6), which has a rugged and deep green (30 m) closely surrounded by the surrounding forest over a shorter total length (116 m). In addition, this green is protected at the front by 2 bunkers.
5 pairs of holes will collectively require careful consideration of the playing strategy, especially the first two shots. The average length of these holes is 460 m.
Pairs 4 represent a whole range of game options from shorter holes (eg hole 12 - 289 m), which will require precise passes, to long holes (eg hole no. 10 - 406 m), which will test the length of your drives. .
In addition, Ypsilon Golf Course can be proud of the award Best Course of the Year 2006 and 2007, Best Service of 2008, 2nd place Best Course of 2015, 3rd place Best Course of 2016, which we received in the reader survey of the golf magazine Golf Digest C&S. In 2017, we received an award from the American editorial board of Golf Digest magazine and thus ranked among the top 8 resorts in continental Europe. In 2014, we were rated by the golfova-hriste.cz portal in the TOP 5 golf courses in the Czech Republic. In the Všudehrál poll, ie players who played more than sixty golf courses in the Czech Republic, in 2020 we took 2nd place in the main category, which summarizes all four evaluated categories in absolute order. We also took 2nd place in 2014, in 2015, 2016 and 2017 we took 1st place.
Ypsilon Golf Liberec was and is the venue for prestigious European golf tours, which include the EPD Tour (2007), Challenge Tour (2008), Pro Golf Tour (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019) and in 2012 we also hosted the Academic World Championships in golf.
